jardim da estrela

Located in Lisbon, the historic 19th-century park features exotic plants, a pond, and ornate gazebos, offering a peaceful retreat and comfortable community space.

Valued by the EVE Tree Tool as part of the EVE Engine development, the Jardim da Estrela was found to play a crucial role in urban livability. The park contributes significantly to carbon sequestration by absorbing CO2 through photosynthesis and storing carbon in its biomass and soil. Additionally, it acts as a natural air filter, reducing levels of harmful particulate matter (PM10), and thereby mitigating health risks for Lisbon residents.

The Jardim da Estrela project is a prime example of how investing in ecosystem conservation and restoration can create resilient and sustainable urban spaces.
